Alice was the first member of the Cat Fostering Project. This sassy 17 year old was brought to our rescue cattery as her owner was unable to care for her anymore. On assessment we discovered she was completely blind, making the requirements of her home environment quite specific. Many aspects of a home would need adapting to help her cope with losing her sight, to have confidence and reduce stress. We also discovered Alice was in early stages of renal failure, which needs to be controlled by a specialised diet.
Alice has proved to us that the Cat Fostering Project has the potential to save so many cats that are older or have long-term illnesses. Having Alice in a foster home has prolonged her life, providing her with care and a loving home.
