We are Animal Welfare Furness
Here at Animal Welfare (Furness) we are dedicated to supporting and being a part of our local community. Whether this be taking part in local events such as those organised by Barrow BID, supporting those in need through our charity projects, or raising awareness of the work of our charity in local shops, during events or through social media.
We love getting to know the people, organisations and projects in our local community. We understand that to continue to support and be supported, we must be aware of our community needs, have projects in place that are valued by those in the community and offer confidential, non-discriminatory communication to support animals, people, and other businesses and organisations.
Animal Welfare (Furness) work closely with Barrow Community Tesco, a fantastic asset to the organisations and charity groups in the local area.
Working with Barrow Community has helped us at Animal Welfare (Furness) stride out into our local community, raising awareness, developing our education project and bringing in much needed donations of funds, food and support to the animals in our care.
We are always searching for ways to help those in our community. This could be directly with helping animals, supporting people through our Volunteer Project, or working with local and national organisations to support the work we and others are doing in the Furness area.
Our self-funded charity relies on the generosity of local businesses, donations, and fundraising to protect, rehabilitate, and rehome distressed animals, while contributing to, and building a compassionate and supportive community.
If you would like to work with or support us in any of the Projects we are doing in and for our community please get in touch with our Charity Manager via the contact page.
