Advice from Animal Welfare Furness
Have you heard the story of Phantom? Phantom had survived at least 3 days in an industrial bin after travelling approximately 15 miles to a waste management plant. He was rescued by a member of staff who found him and immediately alerted AWF. Phantom was seriously dehydrated and generally unwell, he spent a weekend at our vets where he was slowly introduced to food and monitored closely.
Since coming to the cattery Phantom has received some TLC having a bath, flea & worm treatment and regular food & water and given the time and space needed to decompress from his ordeal.
Poor Phantom has had a very stressful couple of weeks but has settled in to the cattery nicely. He isn't very trusting of humans just yet (understandably!) but will tolerate a little stroke on his head.
Phantom will need an experienced, patient & understanding owner to build his confidence and show him how to be loved again.
As he came in as a stray we don't have any history for him. This poor soul deserves a wonderful life and a loving home
